And the concrete ceiling of the Control Room is poured. The guys worked very hard yesterday to be able to make it happen.

The weather is excelent for the following days. On to the concrete ceiling!
They removed the outer roof and are now finishing up the prep work to pour the concrete on the metal structure.

By the end of this day it should be all filled up I hope!

Sunny day today, lets hope the weather sticks like this for the following days as we need to finish up the ceiling.
The metal that supports the ceiling for the control room is now in place waiting for the good weather.

The toillet walls are all the way to the top too with the door frame done.

The housing for the air conditioning is also in place.

The entrance door is now flush with the wall. It sure looks much nicer.

It has been raining cats and dogs these past days. Construction had to slow down due to the necessary outside work in the concrete ceilings.
Meanwhile they started building the toillet walls.

Yesterday the construction went full steam ahead again with the arrival of the ceiling support frame.
They have been moving the metal frames that will support the concrete ceiling to the roof with a winch

The recording space area is already covered in these metal frames and supported with wood and iron supports ready to receive the concrete.

With a request from our arquitect the front door was remounted flush with the outer wall. They had to add some new supports in the wall to be able to move it forward.

The outer wall is almost finished too.

Finally the metal structure that will be used for the concrete ceiling has arrived after being delayed since Thursday.
Now we can resume the serious building and finish up the ceilings.

Meanwhile the workers have been doing some finishing to the walls. Controll room walls are now 100% finished.

HVAC guy has also been on the construction site to mark the place for the units and tubing needs

All the HVAC instalation will be done as to not have any sound transmission either between rooms or between the rooms and outside and the outside and rooms. We want the rooms dead quiet!

Also the workers are now busy putting the finish on the outer wall of the studio.

Not much really to show as the guys are putting some small finishing details before the new ceiling is put up. We are waiting for some ceiling support materials to arrive.

The corridor left wall has now the concrete finish.

They are also putting some finishing touches to the recording space/control room wall

The window frame has been given some touches too:

I stopped by during the lunch break to see how things were going.
Main recording space walls and concrete pillars are 100%. Next building the concrete ceiling.

The window frame for the control room is also finished from the recording space side.

One of the construction workers was doing a nap during the lunch break. Heavy sleep haha!

Here is this weekend update. I managed to bring the DSLR and took some decente photos, rather then the crappy cell phone ones.
The walls are 90% done. Only a few from the control room still need to be done.

This is the back wall at the far end where the toillet will be built.

The framing for the control room window is in place. It will be filled with concrete monday and the rest of the wall will be finished.

One more update.
Today I had the visit of both the studio designer and the contractor to fine tune the next steps of the construction.
Construction has been going on fast and steady they both seem very happy with the results so far.

These past days they are raising the outer walls to make space for the concrete ceiling.

For the recording space ceiling height will be 3.2 meters or 10 feet 6 inches for you Imperial metric guys :)

Control room walls are being raised right now too. Pretty soon they will be to the full height.

Ceiling height here will be just 3.1 meters or 10 feet 2 inches.

The original ceiling had to go off for the guys to work in the walls and supports for the concrete ceiling.

Recording space wall are all the way to the ceiling now. Next job is to start on the concrete ceiling.
